Kennedy
Kennedy attended San Dimas High School, where she made an immediate impact as a varsity athlete, earning a varsity letter as a freshman while also receiving multiple academic and athletic honors. Her commitment to excellence both on and off the field set the foundation for her collegiate success.
She continued her playing career at North Idaho College on a softball scholarship, where she distinguished herself nationally by finishing Top 30 in the country among transfer students. Kennedy was recognized as both an All-American Athlete and an All-American Academic, and was nominated for College Athlete of the Year—highlighting her leadership, performance, and dedication to academics.
Following her playing career, Kennedy transitioned into coaching and player development. She has spent the past seven years coaching and providing private instruction in hitting, catching, and fielding. Known for her technical knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to build confident, fundamentally sound athletes, Kennedy is passionate about mentoring players and helping them reach their full potential.
Shay
Shay Anderson brings over 12 years of collegiate coaching experience and a proven championship pedigree to First and Third. She spent seven years as an assistant coach and five years as head coach at North Idaho College, where she built one of the most consistent and competitive programs in the NWAC.
During her tenure, Shay was named NWAC Coach of the Year five times, earned North Idaho College Hall of Fame College Coach of the Year (2024–2025), led her teams to six NWAC East Region Championships, a 2018 NWAC Championship, and a 2024 NWAC Runner-Up finish. As a head coach, she compiled an impressive 118–40 record (.747 winning percentage) and coached five East Region Pitchers of the Year and three East Region MVPs.
As a player, Shay competed at both Adelphi University and North Idaho College. Her collegiate accolades include 2011 Adelphi University MVP, multiple All-Conference selections, leading the nation in home runs in 2007, and earning NFCA All-American nomination recognition.
Shay is known for her leadership, competitive mindset, and ability to develop high-character athletes. Her passion for teaching the game and developing young women is at the heart of the First and Third softball program.
Jenna
Jenna is a former collegiate standout and professional softball player with elite pitching and coaching experience at both the national and international levels. During her collegiate career, she set her school's career record for strikeouts and was named Missouri Valley Conference MVP, while leading the league in strikeouts, wins, innings pitched, and opponent batting average.
Following college, Jenna played professionally in the Netherlands, where she helped her team win a European Cup Championship, gaining valuable international playing experience.
Jenna transitioned into coaching at the collegiate level, serving as a Division III coach at UT Dallas, a Division I coach at Texas A&M Commerce, and as a coach for the Dutch Junior National Team. Her background gives her a unique perspective on player development, competition, and long-term athlete growth.
At First and Third, Jenna specializes in pitching development and mentoring athletes to compete with confidence, discipline, and mental toughness.
